Back to School

So it is that time of year again... Back to school! I'm in line with the rest of you, so much to do, so little time, the never ending lists. BUT there is that one item on everyone's list they absolutely loath buying... for me that is the backpack, or book bag. However you say it, I can't stand buying them. They are a necessary evil. If I could get away without buying one every year I would. I've been looking for a backpack for a couple of months now (YES I know... But I'm getting to the reason why) If my kiddo had it her way it would be something "Frozen" themed, or Shopkins, or LPS, MLP, StarWars, one with a basketball and hoop... the list goes on and on and I'm so not even close to kidding. I have no problem with any of those. Really I don't. In fact I'm a fan of character themes; as long as someone can like them for more than thirty seconds, and the big one, if they were made nice! Seriously, that's my problem with them. I refuse to buy something that is a piece of crap.

Last week we went to JCPenney Optical, (which by the way is amazing, at least the one by me is) because this kid of mine always needs something (they left that out of the new parents handbook) so I was looking around for deals, and found this gem... Children's glasses priced $120 or less are on sale for $30 a pair. I was like wha?! take my money! Anyways after exam and $15 to have them shipped faster, it was a total of $87... you can't beat that. Plus I got a $15 off of $15 to use in the store (NOTE: this printed after I used my savings card) Not a bad deal if I do say so myself! Also the glasses that are on sale are super cute and totally adorable!

So with the $15 off of $15 I'm thinking I should probably get this kid a backpack, last I saw they had some alright ones there... for something like $20 give or take..... can you feel the enthusiasm I have about buying something we MIGHT get another year out of. All in all not a bad deal.

What is that one thing on your list that you put off til the last minute, or sometimes second?
